| Sumario: | This paper reflects on the elements of national identity in ninth grade social sciences textbooks from two different publishing houses. The research, entitled Impact of Colombian Public Education Policy on Ninth Grade Social Sciences Textbooks (2004 to 2010). Analysis of Two Textbook Proposals, was carried out by the authors as part of the Teaching, Education and Teacher Training line of the Master of Teaching at La Salle University. The investigation was based on the qualitative approach, with a documentary perspective. The instruments used were the questionnaire applied to teachers for choosing the publishing house and the matrices for analyzing documents on public education policy and selected textbooks. |
