| Sumario: | This article sets out to approach framing theory in social science and humanities. To do this, first of all, the concepts of frame and framing are examined from a review of the contributions in the forerunners: Gregory Bateson and Erving Goffman. Secondly, the specialist’s proposals are analyzed in three research areas: collective action frames, policy frames and news frames. It concludes with a methodological proposal for the analysis of political, social and cultural process. |
