Sumario:This article examines how legal reform on abortion has been debated in Chile especially after 2012. Currently there are proposals to permit abortion underthree grounds and a bill introduced in the Senate to permit the interruption of the pregnancy prior to 12 weeks of gestation. As of yet, there is no public statement from Executive informing whether it will sponsor any of existing proposals or it will introduced its own initiative. It remains a challenge if women’s reproductive autonomy will be at the centre of the debate.
