| Sumario: | The purpose of this article is to analyze the emergence, development and functioning of the “Billiken Committee”, a children’s charity that issue from the proposal of a girl reader and with the support of the children’s magazine Billiken, published in Buenos Aires, between 1920 and 1925. From the study of the associations from within and the relationships they established with the magazine, this paper shows how children and young people were able to influence not only on the contents of the magazine but also on the community, for example, through the founding of libraries. |
