Sumario:The paper intends to establish the position of the three largest mexican political parties (Revolutionary Institutional Party, National Action Party, Democratic Revolution Party) around five topics relevant to economic policy (state ownership, fiscal policy, trade liberalization, direct foreign investment and social security), operationalized in the form of left-right scales, based on analysis of the presidential electoral platform presented by these parties during the period 1976-2006 (for the case of the PRD 1988-2006)
