Sumario:The theme of the present article is the relation between the literary projects of Honoré de Balzac (1799-1850) and José de Alencar (1829-1877), manifested in the preface of the books A Comédia Humana (1842) and Sonhos d’ouro (1872).The article will deal with the approximations between the two projects, as well as with the importance of both to the formation or consolidation of the French and the Brazilian literatures, respectively.
