Sumario: In the last months, thousands of people went out to the streets of the main cities in the country to demand structural changes in higher and secondary education, putting pressure on the relationships between educational and political - economic actors, which was also reflected in social media. This work is aimed at describing and comparing, by means of a Critical and Complex Discourse Analysis (CCDA), the discursive construction of the actors of the student’s movement made by two means of the V Region, El Mercurio de Valparaíso and El Martutino, through their chronicles (a total of 299), published between May and December 2011. The study showed the configuration of three important actors (“Students”, “Authorities” and “Police force”), defined by several aspects. Among the conclusions, it was possible to determine that, in spite of the opposite journalistic dynamics of both means, El Mercurio de Valparaíso and El Martutino, share similar discursive constructions of the actors appearing in their journalistic discourses.
