Sumario:This article presents some aspects of the political trajectory and theoretical production ofthe intellectual Clóvis Moura in order to foment research on his bibliographic production. Thedeconstruction of the idea of “ racial democracy,” the use of African religion as a form of organizationand resistance of black Brazilians, and the criticism of the concepts of acculturationand culturalism are some aspects of the author’s work that are highlighted.
