The resistance of slaves in those regions adopteddifferent aspects according to the socio-economic characteristics andspecial aspects of each region.New theoretical approaches have widened the concept of resistancethus giving rise to a more complex definition.This paper focuses on escape as one of the solutions that Córdoba slavesresorted to in order to show their discontent in a situation ofsubordination.In our research we consider the slave as a historical active subjectcapable of generating changes through its actions within the limits setby the social structure he belongs in.
