Sumario:This article analyses the current tendencies of Mexico's foreign policy. The author points out that, during the last administration, our country's foreign policy has been dramatically transformed, going from a coherent policy, based on principles, to another one which lacks the appropiate ordaining and a guiding ethical basis. For the most part, this obeys to the strong influence of the global market and the ideological tendencies of the United States in Mexican foreign policy, turning it into a commercial and investment-promotion policy, always subordinated to the aims and tendencies of the hegemonic country. Therefore, it is crucial that all universities, particularly National Autonomous University of Mexico, shape capable internationalists with a strong nationalist conviction, who shall reform Mexican foreign policy, changing its current status into a "national way".
