Sumario:The paper examines the transition process which are living at present sciences, Social and Physics, in the world. The prevailing model of science int the 21 st century, characterized by a positivist view of fragmentation and hiperspecialization in all fields of human knowledge, -which leads to the emergence of disciplines-, has shown lack of the elements suitable for a theoretical-methodological understanding integral to the reality in which we live. In this respect, empathy between existing disciplines today seems to be a need to understand the complexities of today's world. Thus, multidisciplinarity, interdisciplinarity; and transdisciplinarity were raised as alternatives to reverse this fragmentation of knowledge. Thus, the discipline of International Relations, given its nature inter and transdisciplinarity, is considered -despite the difficulties it has faced on its construction- as an example that shows integration of knowledge is posible.
