| Sumario: | This work invites to reflect about the regulation of sexuality in the nascent Mexican State, through the study of the actions that civil authorities carried out against several cases of adultery. Comparing repression methods stipulated in legal regulations with the discursive strategies and the judgments delivered in the processes analyzed, it will indicate the cases in which the gap between formal and practical standard was higher, looking at in what way the judicial system of the Mexico city contributed to the establishment of gender roles in the control device sexuality. |
