| Sumario: | During the last years, women acquired a role never seen before. In terms of making their demands visible, women and dissenting sexualities have massively expressed the demand for compliance with rights and the realization of guarantees only on paper conquered so far. In times of femicides and different type of daily violence, the article addresses -through a critical analysis of data from secondary sources- different aspects in which gender inequality crystallizes. The objective is to propose variables to be considered to design complementary policies to the Uruguayan Care Policy. Then, basic social indicators are proposed in order to contribute to the debate of social policies articulation in our region.
