Sumario:This article examines the transformation of the Colombian State; seeking its incorporation into the global market, using two complementary strategies: competitiveness and militarization. The Colombian case is presented as a key example of the Militarized Competitive State, which opening up the path for extended capital accumulation, also exacerbates the levels of social and economic inequality and social conflict.
