Sumario:This article discusses through bibliographical research the socio-environmental negative impacts of transnationals in local communities, especially in areas such as mining, agro-business, water commerce and dam constructions for hydropower purposes. The presence of transnational businesses has caused enormous damages in many local communities, especially the loss of territory, culture and natural resources, being the major problem the degradation of natural world as result of activities that destroy the environment, that in the end generate many socio-environmental conflicts in the affected communities.
