description This research has as its theme the Superior Courses of Technology in Brazil. Developed in the Research Line "Educational processes and their foundations", it is linked to the Nucleus of Studies on Teacher, Art and Philosophy - NEPAFi. The observation that higher education in Brazil has always been aimed at the elites, the increasing demands of the labor market and the influence of neoliberal thinking. The time cut for this study covers the years 1969-2005, which represents, respectively, the beginning of the implementation of TSA in Brazil and the decline in the creation of these courses in the country. The bibliographical research has as contribution authors like Lima and Mioto (2007) and the documentary analysis is based on Cellard (2008). As a result, it can be seen that the proposal of current technology courses can significantly contribute to individuals having an effective training at a higher level in this area.
