| Sumario: | Contemporary spaces for artistic creation, whose end isthe recovery of cultural roots and heritages, make evidentthe role intelectuals play in the construction of emergingidentities in global and deterritorialized contexts.Odantalan, a musical creation and improvisationworkshop realized in Luanda (Angola), is without a doubt,one of these spaces. The objective of this workshop is tostrengthen a cultural identity through the encounter withthe musical and symbolic legacy of the bakongo peoplethat are reproduced in the new world. This paper exposesthe etnographic exercise realized in Odantalan. Thus, -byquestioning the search for ancestral traces and the urgencyprovoked by the denial of the colonial legacy, this papercenters on this projects organizers and intelectuals andtheir discourse on artistic creation, symbolic interests andthe identity of participating musicians |
