Sumario:SOCIETY OF SIGN GOODS AND CULTURAL POLICIES: THE NEW CHAL- LENGES. The text presents the challenges that new cul- tural dynamics in society set on cultural policies. Culture moves towards sign goods that release power from traditional institutions towards the industries of cul- tural goods, losing their traditional role in the production of symbolic stories for the integration, recognition and governability. This tendency is exemplified through an empirical analysis of the individuation and cultural consumption in Chile.
