Sumario:This article studies the complex framework of relations and phenomena which in turn has made visible the construction of a social actor in the indigenous communities: the male and female young, specifically in Jonotla in the Northern Highland in Puebla. We attempt to analyze the social and economic changes in Jonotla through the women¿s experiences (especially the young ones) and in this way understand the framework where the important changes emerge in the multi-ethnic locality. We have searched to describe the processes in which new identity configurations (ethnic, from age and gender) emerge, and to show that the local-global articulation allows an understanding of the directions these processes of change are taking in the indigenous communities.
