Sumario:The proposal of this research intends to show the Atlantic dimensión of the Risorgimento, following the singular or collective trajectories of the Italian patriots who, during the long 19th century, acted in America, from US. to Patagonia Crossing the Caribbean islands. Some of them settled there; others carne back to the Italian península, taking part in the national struggle; others kept moving across the two continents. Adventurers, exiles, and volunteers made of Italian political emigration a vanguard for the anti-monarchy movements in the Atlantic world, spreading cultural paradigms, political projects and military practices. This phenomenon deeply impacted on the evolution the revolutionary processes behind the birth of the modern world.
