| Sumario: | The funds of the Real Situado, delivered to finance military defense, are explanatory of the Hispanic-American self-sufficiency to sustain imperial integrity across three centuries. Those funds constituted a prime line in the revenues of the Real Caja de Buenos Aires during the eighteenth century. Based on the information provided by the cargo y data account books, prepared by the royal officers of Buenos Aires between 1766 and 1784, it is feasible to understand how the funds entered in the cargo of the Real Situado’s ramo in Buenos Aires along a crucial period. Discerning how were composed and managed those revenues in Buenos Aires during a period of institutional changes and conflicting situations, allows to inquiry on the respositioning of Buenos Aires in the imperial network, as well as the relationship between centralization, administration and fiscal performance in Bourbon Latin América, and the role of the interregional integration of the Real Hacienda in this process. |
