| Sumario: | Focused on recovering the biographical genre as a starting point for the analysis of the historical process, this article recounts a work experience described in the autobiographical chronicle of Jorge Yunis. Being the son of a Lebanese-Syrian immigrant who decided to settle in Coronda, his case in particular opens up a whole range of issues and problems that explain not only their adaptive strategies to consolidate in the place he had arrived, but also the characteristic dynamics of a region located in Santa Fe’s inland, which was key to the agricultural and livestock export model in effect in Argentina by that time. |
