| Sumario: | In the first half of the 1930s, the government of theprovince of Buenos Aires presented a dra Labor Code to unifylabor law. Its realization had been requested by Governor FedericoMartínez de Hoz in 1932 to the Provincial Labor Department(DPT). Although finally the Code was not sanctioned, this paperanalyzes the role and functions that were assigned to the provincialState to apply and monitor its compliance. It also studies its maincharacteristics, comparing it with other official sources that allowus to account for its itinerary. But fundamentally it intends toanalyze the ways that were thought there to benefit the ruralworker, many of which were opposed to the regulations in forceprior to 1940.
