All of this are placed in different socio-political contexts that span almost the entire 20th century and offer a continental approach. Los vínculos entre campo cultural y campo político en la historia de América Latina han ido ocupando en las últimas décadas un lugar prominente como objeto de las ciencias sociales. Las intersecciones entre arte y política, específicamente, comenzaron a ser observadas apelando a nuevas fuentes y nuevos abordajes teóricos. En ese marco, este dossier presenta un grupo de artículos que dan cuenta de la complejidad y la diversidad de relaciones entre lo político y las prácticas artísticas, a través del estudio del teatro, la canción folklórica, el cine y las artes visuales, en distintos contextos sociopolíticos que abarcan casi todo el siglo XX y ofrecen una amplitud continental.
