| Sumario: | This article aims to analyze the cultural associationism that had the objective of promoting academic music in Bahía Blanca during the mid-20th century and focuses mainly on the Asociación Bernardino Rivadavia (ABR) and the Asociación Cultural (AC). With different profiles and objectives, both institutions advertised these events in a sustained and continues manner. Given this framework, it is proposed that the associations built shared social and cultural parameters and, in turn, configured groups of identification and social belonging. Although their institutional projects were linked to the ideals of civilization and progress, they differed in terms of the aesthetic programs they promoted and the circuits they generated. |
