Based on this assumption and from the prism of history, the article proposes a promising research agenda: the social history of the rural road, from the intersection between the approaches of territoriality and mobility. In this line, it advocates the opening of social history to the rural road issue as a conditioning factor of social practices and relation and to isolation as a distinctive and relevant variant to address inequalities. Los caminos rurales han despertado interés en la agenda pública debido al reconocimiento del rol que desempeña la accesibilidad en la actividad económica y la inclusión social. Partiendo de este supuesto y desde el prisma de la historia, el trabajo propone una agenda de investigación promisoria: la historia social del camino rural, a partir del cruce entre los enfoques de territorialidad y movilidad. En esta línea, aboga por la apertura de la historia social a la cuestión vial rural como condicionante de prácticas y relaciones sociales y al aislamiento como variante distintiva y relevante para el abordaje de las desigualdades.
