Sumario:This paper seeks to offer some indications to advance in the study of a key moment for those agents who went to court to petition, such as obtaining authorization from the governors of Paraguay and Río de la Plata, or their lieutenants, to embark on ships anchored in Buenos Aires. A brief file generated between 1603 and 1604 is analyzed and transcribed on the occasion of the prohibition imposed on fray Horacio Genari, attorney of the city of San Francisco de la Victoria de Vilcabamba, to move to the peninsula to appear before the king through the city-port.
