| Sumario: | This article analyzes the dramatic production and interventions in the public debate of the federal publicist from Entre Ríos, Francisco Felipe Fernández, during the 1860s. It reconstructs his political career and analyzes his plays 25 de Mayo de 1810 and La Triple Alianza. It is concluded that the dramatic form was chosen by Fernández as an effective alternative to engage the popular sectors (gauchos and indigenous) and that the originality of his works consists in giving them prominence and considering them as political actors in contrast to the dominant conceptions among politicians and intellectuals of the time. |
