In order to do so, we will first investigate the distinctive features of the MNR in its process of constitution and consolidation in the 1960s: its origins, its main leaders and its ideological vectors. Then, in second instance, we will review the “reformist tradition” as it were recovered by the MNR, its programmatic lines, its intellectual referents and its political-ideological project, and how it served as an identity focus. In this sense, we will see how reformism became a nodal reference in the configuration of the MNR and in its subsequent course, a distinctive mark, with a certain political potential, in times where political radicalization and the revitalization of Peronism prevailed.
