Sumario:Several research studies have analyzed the period between 1955 and 1966 under the prism of modernization. However, dimensions or indicators of that process are often not clearly established in historical research. This paper considers how the political actors of this period used a discourse impregnated with idea of political modernization proposed by international agencies under the orbit of United Nations. These notions included women’s access into Politics on equal terms with males. However, there is a lack of systematic studies on political modernization process from a gender perspective. Given de lack of research in this subject this paper is focused on the strategies of radical party –divided in intransigentes and del pueblo– and in Peronist sectors.
