Sumario:This article deals with the transmission of social memories over the last Argentinian dictatorship (1976-1983), during the second decade of the millennium. It presents and integrates the results of three empirical investigations carried out in 2011, 2015 and 2019 with students from the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires, during their last year of their secondary education. The investigations inquire a) the social environments with the greatest presence of the topic “human rights in the Dictatorship” and b) youths’ adherence to different emblematic social memories. A statistical analysis of these medium-term studies is carried out, adopting a diachronic perspective to establish changes and continuities in the processes of memory transmission, linking them with transformations in the socio-historical context and especially with the dynamics of youth politicization. Finally, the achievements of inter and transgenerational transmission are characterized and highlighted, problematizing active transmission at present, reflecting on the distinctive and specific aspects of the resignification of memories of the dictatorial past among young people.
