Sumario:This work pretends to analyze the transformations of Public Health as an expert field, between the 1960s and 1970s and to investigate the participation of Public Health doctors in the health policies of that period. As we have shown, the field of Public Health reached a higher grade of professionalization since the 1940s, increasing its professionalization between the 1960s and 1970s. During these years, were created the main university training centers, specialized magazines and professional associations. Following the development of health policies in the 1960s and 1970s, Public Health experts participated in different projects and programs promoted by state bureaucratic offices. With the aim of knowing the characteristics of the expert field of Public Health specialists, we propose a case study, concentrating our attention on the experience of the School of Public Health of the University of Buenos Aires (ESPUBA) between 1960-1976. Starting from a strategy of documentary analysis, we will base our research on personal files of the professors of ESPUBA, as well as specialized magazines and other documents.
