Sumario:The article analyzes the committee hearings in the national lower Chamber of Deputies in Argentina in 2020, in which different national ministers and state secretaries took part, with the purpose of reporting on the policies implemented in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The study’s starting point is that, in addition to fulfilling a legislative role, national legislators serve as territorial representatives. Legislators’ interventions at committee meetings are analyzed and classified, considering whether and how they mention the district represented. The results suggest that, during the pandemic, Congress not only fulfilled its role of controlling the executive, but it also served as an informational transmission channel to the national executive on the heterogeneous territorial dimension of the problems caused by the pandemic, in different areas of public policy.
