| Sumario: | Within the framework of Social Studies on Justice and Law, this article focuses on the executive area of attorney’s offices in Argentina and Uruguay. We will study two administrative management considered paradigmatic in terms of institutional reform: argentinian Alejandra Gils Carbó (2012-2017), and uruguayan Jorge Díaz (2012-present). The objective of this work is providing conceptual tools to analyse sociologically Public Justice policies. The chosen methodology is qualitative: conducting interviews, analyzing documents and secondary sources. The comparative perspective allows contextualizing the importance of institutional changes proposed by general attorneys. Beyond a common paradigm in the region favorable to reform Justice administration systems, the result of this research shows some divergences in key aspects on each country. This features may lead to an investigation on the cultural dimension that underlies judicial work and thinking. |
