Our aim is to establish both similarities and differences between the author and these narratives. Drawing on Gálvez's journalistic articles, historical biographies, and novels, including the trilogy titled 'Scenes of the Paraguayan War' (1928-1929), we argue that many points sustained throughout his intellectual career aligned with the positions presented in mitrist accounts. However, he also maintained some stances similar to those expressed by revisionists, even before affiliating with that group, revealing a complex scenario to reconstruct his perspectives of the conflict. En este trabajo analizamos las construcciones que realizó el escritor Manuel Gálvez sobre la Guerra del Paraguay, considerando las posiciones e ideas del revisionismo histórico y la denominada historiografía mitrista sobre el conflicto, con el objetivo de establecer cercanías y distancias del autor respecto a esos relatos.
