Notas en torno a las tesis de Walter Benjamin Pittaluga, Roberto This paper explores some of the epistemological and political dimensions of Walter Benjamin's elaborations on history, as they constitute indispensable elements for thinking the foundations and deploying the practices of a critical history. Starting from the seventh thesis contained in the posthumous "On the Concept of History", and in particular the idea of "brushing history against the grain", its implications for a materialist historiography are examined. To this end, we reflect on the relations between past and present that it proposes, as well as on the figurative resources and the praxis that sustain this historiographical revolution.
