Sumario:The recent launch of SIG SEXTANT® raised the generation of this work, which identifies and compares the LS factor for RUSLE and RUSLE 3D models. SEXTANT ® benefits with respect to the usual ArcGis ® are mainly associated with the calculation of flow directions. The effect of replacing the L factor contributing to the area upstream Asp, better reflects the impact of concentrated flow. 3D RUSLE calculates a higher value of the LS factor on the channels and hence are solutions, when calculated in the traditional way (RUSLE), the problem of an overestimation of the erosive power in the higher elevations or at the beginning of slopes.
