| Sumario: | Drought conditions in the Paraná River Basin between the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2023 have generated multiple impacts of varying magnitude, threatening productive development, well-being of populations, and ecosystems functioning. In this sense, the present work includes the identification, integration and analysis of the impacts described in various sources of information that consider the social, economic and natural resources system. Identified impacts affected water availability for human supply in urban and rural areas, food and energy production, navigation and commerce, health, well-being associated with tourism as well as biodiversity and ecosystems, particularly considering fish mortality and reproductive crisis, fire disasters, algae blooms (cyanobacteria) and wetland disturbance. References on interjurisdictional opportunities and conflicts as well as hydrometric measurement systems problems were also added. The results of the work provide basic knowledge on the impacts occurred during the last extreme event of drought in the Argentine Litoral Region and contribute with a better understanding of the effects, as input to define future measures within the framework of drought resilience, adaptation and management policies |
