Sumario:The present work investigates the course of the drivers’ union in the city of Buenos Aires during the thirties and the influence that the anarchists of FORA exerted on it. The axes of analysis deal with the operational changes produced in urban transportation with the emergence of the “auto-collective”, the influence of workers in the configuration of the service, the disputes initiated with political power over the regulation of the activity, the private interests at stake, the repertoire of struggles deployed by the Union Chauffeurs and the repressive response presented by the State.
