Sumario:Starting from the concept of structural violence and its main elements, an analysis of the situation of vulnerability and exclusion suffered by young people in Mexico is made, trying to connect with the novel notion of juvenicide, which accounts for the systematic physical and/or symbolic elimination of this sector of the population. The contributions of Galtung (1969, 1982, 2003), as well as Valenzuela (2012a, 2012b, 2014, 2015a, 2015b, 2018) are considered in the search for a conceptual link between both analytical categories that allows, from the examination of recent data, contribute to the study of the causal relationship between the dynamics of the economic and social structures that emerge in the neoliberal capitalist system in the form of inequality, precariousness and poverty, and the phenomenon of violence of which young people in our country are victims.
