Sumario:The current irruption and relevance of the BRICS derived from the crisis of US hegemony and the weakening of post-World War II liberal internationalism, is presented as a potential shift in global power dynamics that highlights the emergence of new multilateral dynamics beyond mere rhetoric, reflecting a changing world order. In a framework of high political conflict between the US and China, the (re)alignments of the BRICS in the so-called “global hegemonic transition” present a series of complexities in their development: the shift to multiplicity as a distinctive feature of this new order, its multiple conceptualizations, its ambiguous institutional content and the asymmetric weight of a power like China as the leader of a successful reconfiguration of multilateralism promoted in the name of the Global South. This article proposes to investigate these complexities in view of the possibility of a diversified global approach carried out by BRICS, which allows coordinating positions and actions for the sake of a greater influence on the international agenda; with consideration of the role of China and its possible globalist pretensions. Keywords: BRICS(+). Global South. China. Global disorder. Multilateralism
