| Sumario: | This article addresses the conflict in the Nagorno-Karabakh region from its historical background, the bilateral relationship between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the geostrategic importance of the region. In addition, it aims to analyze the strategies deployed by regional powers that directly affect the balance of power in the conflict, defining some of the rules of game and a tense status quo for the interests of Baku, on the one hand, and Yerevan, on the other. This work is framed in theoretical tools that contribute to the study of conflict within the discipline. |
