Drawing on a materialist feminist approach, it problematizes the naturalization of girls’ labor as part of a sexual and generational division of labor, and challenges hegemonic notions of what is considered childhood, labor, and political action. The text reclaims carpet-weaving girls as producers of knowledge and memory, recognizing in their everyday practices situated forms of agency that operate even under conditions of subordination. Based on academic sources in English and Persian, the article proposes a critical reading of children's participation in textile production by articulating an analysis of their material conditions with the meanings the girls themselves attribute to their work. Este artículo analiza críticamente el trabajo de las niñas en el tejido de alfombras persas en Irán, atendiendo tanto a las condiciones estructurales que lo posibilitan como a las formas de agencia que ejercen en contextos de expropiación. A partir de un enfoque feminista materialista, se problematiza la naturalización del trabajo de las niñas como parte de una división sexual y generacional del trabajo, y se cuestionan las nociones hegemónicas que definen qué cuenta como infancia, trabajo y acción política. El texto recupera a las niñas tejedoras como productoras de saberes y memorias, reconociendo en sus prácticas cotidianas formas de agencia que operan incluso en contextos de subordinación. El artículo se construye a partir de fuentes académicas en inglés y persa, y propone una lectura crítica de la participación infantil en la producción textil, articulando el análisis de sus condiciones materiales con los sentidos que las niñas atribuyen a su trabajo.
