description In Río Negro, bacterial blight is the main disease of Walnut crops. The objective of this work was to evaluate the incidence of the disease on fruits in different stages of development and determine the damage it produces on nuts intended for marketing in shell, in two cultivars in the Inferior and Medio valleys. Sampling was carried out during two seasons (2018/19 and 2019/20). The incidence of the disease in fruit (IEF) was determined from november to march, on samples of the Chandler and Franquette cultivars. To determine the external damage on the shell and the damage to the shell and seed, the samples from the last sampling were observed and classified. In Valle Inferior in both seasons, the IEF recorded significant differences between the cultivars for each date, being greater in Chandler. Similar results were observed in 2018/19, in Valle Medio and in 2019/20, no differences were recorded between cultivars. In both valleys in 2018/19, Chandler had a higher percentage of shell damage. The values recorded in the Lower Valley exceed the tolerance limits for in-shell marketing in Chandler, for both seasons.  In 2018/19 and 2019/20 Franquette qualified as an extra category, while in Valle Medio both cultivars were placed in different categories. The values of damage to shell and seed were similar in the two valleys.

The values of damage to shell and seed were similar in the two valleys. En Río Negro, el tizón bacteriano es la principal enfermedad del cultivo de nogal. El objetivo de este trabajo fue evaluar la incidencia de la enfermedad, sobre los frutos en diferentes estados de desarrollo y determinar el daño que produce sobre las nueces destinadas para la comercialización con cáscara, en dos cultivares en los valles Inferior y Medio. Los muestreos se realizaron durante dos temporadas (2018/19 y 2019/20). La incidencia de la enfermedad en fruto (IEF), se determinó desde noviembre a marzo, sobre muestras de los cultivares Chandler y Franquette. Para determinar el daño externo sobre la cáscara y el daño en cáscara y semilla, se observaron y clasificaron las muestras del último muestreo. En Valle Inferior en ambas temporadas, la IEF registró diferencias significativas entre los cultivares para cada fecha, siendo mayor en Chandler. Los resultados similares se observaron en el 2018/19, en Valle Medio y en el 2019/20, entre cultivares no se registró diferencias. En ambos valles en el 2018/19, Chandler presentó un mayor porcentaje de daño sobre la cáscara. Los valores registrados en Valle inferior, exceden los límites de tolerancia para la comercialización con cáscara en Chandler, para ambas temporadas.  En 2018/19 y 2019/20 Franquette calificó como categoría extra, mientras que en Valle Medio ambos cultivares se ubicaron en distintas categorías. Los valores de daños en cáscara y semilla fueron similares, en los dos valles. Em Río Negro, a ferrugem bacteriana é a principal doença das culturas de nozes. O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a incidência da doença em frutos em diferentes estágios de desenvolvimento e determinar os danos que produz em nozes destinadas à comercialização com casca, em duas cultivares do Inferior e Medio Vale. A amostragem foi realizada durante duas temporadas (2018/19 e 2019/20). A incidência da doença em frutos (IEF) foi determinada de novembro a março, em amostras das cultivares Chandler e Franquette. Para determinar os danos externos na casca e os danos na casca e na semente, as amostras da última amostragem foram observadas e classificadas. No Valle Inferior em ambas as épocas o IEF registrou diferenças significativas entre as cultivares para cada época, sendo maior em Chandler. Resultados semelhantes foram observados em 2018/19, em Valle Medio e em 2019/20, não foram registradas diferenças entre cultivares. Em ambos os vales em 2018/19, Chandler teve uma porcentagem maior d danos causados por projéteis. Os valores registrados em Valle Inferior ultrapassam os limites de tolerância para comercialização in shell em Chandler, para ambas as temporadas. Em 2018/19 Franquette qualificou se como categoria estra, enquanto em Valle Medio ambas as cultivares foram colocadas em categorias diferentes.
