Three nozzles were contrasted: Defy 3D, XR11002VP, and TXA8002VK on two prisms of different dimensions. Water-sensitive cards and the CIR1.5® program were used to evaluate impact density, Volumetric Median Diameter and Efficiency, on horizontal and vertical faces of a target in a closed and asphalted shed. The highest values for all parameters were obtained on horizontal faces. Efficiencies were between 50 and 80% on horizontal faces, and between 2% and 25% on vertical faces. Horizontal impacts ranged from 150 to 240 imp.cm-2 (depending on the nozzles), and vertical impacts from 25 to 50 imp.cm-2. Although results were limited to conditions of zero wind and very homogeneous soils, they contribute to decision-making by providing data from more real working conditions than those obtained in laboratory measurements. Defy 3D is a new nozzle without field performance testing. It can be concluded that the angles of nozzles do not improve the quality of application in vertical positions, under the test conditions. Vertical targets did not get the minimum number of impacts recommended for fungicides or contact insecticides. Also, product losses occurred despite the environmental conditions of the trial. |

La pulverización es una técnica fundamental en la producción agropecuaria. La selección de boquillas para reducir la cantidad de producto sin afectar la distribución es un desafío. El siguiente trabajo pretendió evaluar el desempeño de diferentes boquillas sobre objetivos verticales y horizontales. Se contrastaron tres boquillas: 3D-defy, XR11002VP y TXA8002VK sobre dos prismas de diferentes dimensiones. Se utilizaron tarjetas hidrosensibles y el programa CIR1.5® para evaluar impactos, DVM y Eficiencia sobre caras horizontales y verticales del objetivo en galpón cerrado y asfaltado. Se obtuvieron los mayores valores de todos los parámetros en caras horizontales. Eficiencias entre 50 y 80 % en horizontales, 7% y 25 % en verticales. En horizontal entre 150 y 240 imp.cm-2 según boquilla, 25 y 50 imp.cm-2 en verticales. En función del diseño los resultados se ven limitados a condiciones de 0 viento y suelos muy parejos. Sin embargo, permiten partir de una base sólida para la toma de decisiones en condiciones de trabajo mucho más reales que las generadas por las mediciones en laboratorio. La boquilla Defy-3D es una boquilla nueva sin pruebas de comportamiento a campo. Se puede concluir que las angulaciones de las boquillas no mejoran la calidad de aplicación en las posiciones verticales bajo las condiciones del ensayo. En los objetivos verticales no se alcanzó el número mínimo de impactos recomendado para fungicidas o insecticidas de contacto. Pese a las condiciones ambientales del ensayo, existieron pérdidas de producto. A pulverização é uma técnica fundamental na produção agropecuária. A seleção de bicos para reduzir a quantidade de produto sem afetar a distribuição é um desafio. O trabalho a seguir teve como objetivo avaliar o desempenho de diferentes bicos em alvos verticais e horizontais. Três bicos foram contrastados: 3D-defy, XR11002VP e TXA8002VK em dois prismas de diferentes dimensões. Papéis hidrossensíveis e o programa CIR1.5® foram utilizados para avaliar impactos, DVM e Eficiência, nas faces horizontais e verticais do alvo em galpão fechado e asfaltado. Os maiores valores de todos os parâmetros foram obtidos nas faces horizontais. Eficiências entre 50 e 80% nas faces horizontais, 7% e 25% nas faces verticais. Na horizontal entre 150 e 240 imp.cm-2 dependendo do bico, 25 e 50 imp.cm-2 na vertical. Dependendo do projeto, os resultados são limitados a condições de 0 vento e solos muito uniformes. Porém, permitem partir de uma base sólida para a tomada de decisões em condições de trabalho muito mais reais do que aquelas geradas por medições de laboratório. O Defy-3D é um novo bico sem testes de desempenho em campo. Pode-se concluir que os ângulos dos bicos não melhoram a qualidade de aplicação nas posições verticais sob as condições do teste. Nos alvos verticais, não foi atingido o número mínimo de impactos recomendado para fungicidas ou inseticidas de contato. Apesar das condições ambientais do ensaio, houve perdas de produto.
