It seeks to highlight the importance of the State’s role as the main actor in development processes with social inclusion, to demonstrate the value of coordination between State agents and the different actors of civil society, as well as to exemplify the importance of communication between research and public management organizations. El artículo reflexiona sobre una iniciativa pública, realizada en la Provincia de Tucumán entre los años 2007 y 2015 por el Ministerio de Desarrollo Social, que permitió potenciar el impacto del Programa de Comedores Escolares a través de la reestructuración del mismo y del trabajo conjunto con los organismos de ciencia y tecnología provinciales. Procura resaltar la importancia del rol del Estado como actor principal de los procesos de desarrollo con inclusión social, evidenciar el valor de la coordinación entre los agentes estatales y los distintos actores de la sociedad civil, así como ejemplificar a cerca de la importancia de la comunicación entre los organismos de investigación y de gestión pública.
