Sumario:The article reflects on a public initiative carried out in the Province of Tucumán, between 2007 and 2015, by the Ministry of Social Development that made it possible to enhance the impact of the School Dining Program through its restructuring and joint work with the science and technology organizations of the province. It seeks to highlight the importance of the State’s role as the main actor in development processes with social inclusion, to demonstrate the value of coordination between State agents and the different actors of civil society, as well as to exemplify the importance of communication between research and public management organizations.
