Its purpose is to appeal to the historical memory of the profession, as well as to the dialogue with other popular movements and experiences, which function as tools for the construction of resistance and struggle against the advance of neoliberal and neoconservative projects, such as the one we are currently experiencing in Argentina, where the candidate of the self-described libertarian party La Libertad Avanza has just assumed the presidency of the Nation. El presente escrito recoge las reflexiones compartidas en el Ciclo de Conversatorios organizado por el Departamento de Trabajo Social de la Universidad Nacional de Catamarca, con motivo del Día del Trabajo Social Argentino, el 10 de diciembre de 2023. Su propósito es apelar a la memoria histórica de la profesión, así como al diálogo con otros movimientos y experiencias populares, que funcionen como herramientas para la construcción de resistencia y lucha frente el avance de proyectos neoliberales y neoconservadores, como el que nos toca atravesar actualmente en Argentina, donde acaba de asumir la presidencia de la Nación el candidato del partido autodenominado libertario La Libertad Avanza.
