Sumario:The article, based on an exhibition carried out for the NGO "Identidades comunitarias" in the city of Veracruz, Mexico in 2021, addresses the writing of professionals who work in social assistance institutions, particularly social workers. I review and criticize both the canonical forms in which we were molded to carry out this practice and the social, technical and sexual division of labor that invests certain spaces as those authorized for written production and hierarchizes the disciplinary/professional fields more suitable to perform it. On the other hand, I recover the notion of experience as the raw material of writing, the resistances and the possibilities of turning them into political interventions that not only consolidate and legitimize the field but also make visible the vulnerable living conditions of large sectors of the population.
