| Sumario: | The commitment to human rights is a hallmark of Social Work. The choice of human rights as the theme of the present article will therefore address a number of considerations about the need to transcend human needs to human rights to housing as the focus of analysis. Therefore we present, first, an approach to the figure of the UN Special Rapporteur for adequate housing and the results of his mission to Spain. Then we will discuss a brief discussion regarding current trends in housing policy, finishing with some observations on the role of Social Work in housing policies. |
